Afternoon all, thought I'd better register as I have been lurking for a while and learning lots, I did lots of reading without the barrage of questions.
I have a clarke Mig 151TE set on the recommendation of the budget buys here, and am busy re-learning how to melt metal again.
I did a fair bit of brazing, gas (oxy&acet), and a small amount of arc stick, and mig welding. I'd love to try my hand at TIG and stainless but can't justify the cost of the machines to try it out.
My main forte though is soldering of the electrical kind, everything from larger rf connectors to SMT rework and PCB track repair.
I have an older Landrover like many on here although it doesn't need any welding at the moment
All for now
Pete

to the forum, you've probably got the best diesel before they went fly-by-wire with the TD5, make sure you've got the infamous "P" gasket mod done. You shouldn't have any rust problems if it's ex MOD, my lightweight had about ¼" of underseal all over the chassis!.
