I just joined. I just bought a Miller Dialarc, water cooled. My son told me to start practicing with steel. Now I've done my first try at aluminium.
The bottom right was at a steady 50 amp with 3/32 rod and one restart. This is on a piece of 90. I was real happy with that last part. I can see this will take some practice. The first time I tried was with some very old gas AL rod and I didn't get that exploding rod is bad...
I'm new to TIG but have a some MIG and gas under my belt. Here is the last thing I worked on:
