Yup. I came home from Santa Pod last week end with a back tyre off the Top Fuel Drag car that ran a 316mph in 1000ft. And won the series with a 303mph

She preferred the Chair more over the Coffee table

There's a Tom senior vice just like the one that came with yours on fleabay for £150, not sure he will get that but I've seen them go for £100. Very nice deal.

I picked it up tonight, nice clean machine. No signs of wear whatsoever. Very heavy, heavier than my LV.

Supplied by T.S. Kaye & Sons. Tool Dealers: Hull, Goole & Nottingham. So it hasn't gone far

The last owner had fitted a Clarke 2hp 240v motor so no problems there.

Just got to play Sudoku in the workshop to get it to fit

Just had a look at the tooling it's mixture of Sheffield names, Dommer and Clarkson.

The Vice is nice and tight, it has a few pockmarks from drills on the bottom. Jaws are 'ish, I'll make some more out of ground stock.

At first I couldn't find a markers name, however once fitted to the bed, I could barely make out an etched Makers Name.

The 'M' is the top line could be 'H'.

First job was converting a QC MT2 Tool holder, to hold 1" tooling. Once that's done I'm going to strip and rebuild it

Found a home for it.

Power feed works, and all the gearing is in top condition, the bloke had owned it for 10+ yrs and never used it, before that is was in a school, so it's had a very easy life.

I've connected the [belt driven] suds pump up. But won't know if it works untill I decide what cutting fluid to go for; Suggestions?

The base drums like mad, so I'm going to cut a door in the front to make a cupboard, and dynomat the inside while I'm at it, along with the belt case.

At my school the machines were like museum exhibits - untouched! A real shame, and maybe the reason than none of my class mates are at all mechanical?

We had a woodworking room with a metalworking section, the metalworking part just gathered dust
