Hi there would just like to say hello to all you welders here and I hope you may be able to help me with the restoration of my 1962 Ford 100e. I have no previous welding experience so please be patient with me

Welcome. None of us had any previous welding experience either before we started.

Looks like you are off to a good start with the photos of the welder you posted. I'd have a guess at settings but wouldn't get everything right. Someone else normally comes along in this sort of situation.

In the meantime, is the 100e a Prefect or an Anglia? Would love to see some photos.

Hi there malcolm its a popular and not much to look at the moment as it was bought as a rolling shell its going to end up as a pro street car with a 5.9 litre V8 Chrysler engine

Whether by luck or judgement you have chosen a good first car to get welding on. The 100e was made of nice thick steel plate. Far better to start with than a 2CV or an old Renault
