I got asked to remove the said machine from the lounge yesterday..so ive made room in its new home in the shed and i powered it uo and had a fizz with it, found out that itll run upto setting 5 before it trips the house sockets circuit breaker lol,

very good, excitment got the better of me and i was a bit rushed between showers and being told dinner was ready, i attempted a fillet weld on some 3mm on various settings, I'll post a pic soon, I have a Catalyst from a diesel stove that needs re spotting back together, thatll be a real test as to how low i can get it, i used to use my Hobart beta mig 410 to do them so this ought to lol

Here is my first attempts with the Butters, the fillet weld was done on various setting around 3 and 4 with varying wire speeds, the middle of it i thinks the best but possibly still a little fast on wire speed, the wire mesh catayst (for a oil stove on a boat) is stainless and just wanted tacking back together this is about the thinnest id weld normally and i use normal wire mild steel wire that came with the machine, that was done on setting 1 with .8 wire with the speed at about 10 o clock
