Managed to acquire 3 motors from the local classifieds for £70 and looking for suggestions on diy home workshop ideas projects for them.
I got :
Rael Motori RL80S 0.75kw 4.5A 1420rpm
Brook Hansen D9D5 0.75kw 4.1A 920rpm
VEM Kper 100L 2.2kw 8.96A 1410rpm
The first two already have a pulley fixed to the shaft, whereas the last one doesn't.
I am looking to use one for a wire wheel for cleaning metal sculpture, as my current bench grinder is running at 2800 rpm and can 'grab' things at times, and 1400 would be better.
So probably look to use the Rael for the wire wheel, as a 2.2kw motor for it seems a bit overkill !
I thought that the Brook motor could be stepped down for a metal hacksaw project and what suggestions for the other ?
The guys got them from does have about another half dozen of them ranging in rpms and power, and they are just sitting there......could do a number of projects !
