Hello everybody. I'm going to pick up a secondhand Cebora 130 tomorrow, this will be my 1st welder.Can anyone tell me the minimum amperage of the machine? As a 1st project I am going to try to make an oil drum BBQ ( once I am reasonably happy at welding on scrap), does anyone have plans for such a BBQ? Is it just a case of saw it in half and weld on some hinges?

Hi Jabba, welcome to the forum. If it's the 'pocket turbo' the min amps is 30. I had one of those for years and my neighbour has the BOC equivalent. Good little machines although the torches aren't the best and the wire feed mechanism is a little poor. Any problems though and parts are readily available, even complete new torches. Regarding the BBQ, don't worry about plans, design your own on the fly, let's face it, there's not really much to them.

Slightly simpler version with the base mase from crossing angle iron. Another bit of angle iron each side supports the grille. There's a second grille about 4 inches from the bottom for the coal to sit on so they can get air from underneath. Top isn't attached to the base so can be turned to stop rain collecting.
Tempted to put a partition in the middle as it's too big for little BBQs.
