New grinder/ First grinder - how to install safety cover

Hi,
I'm not sure how to put the shield on the way I want. Currently I can only install it in one position as it must sit into the grooves as per photo.

I assume I need to open the four screws in the pic and move it around but I just wanted to confirm. Also I can't open these star screws with allen keys can I? If I can then I will go to the trouble of looking for them!

i wouldn't think you would have to undo these screws to fix safety guard, what do the instructions say, could be a quick release type thing.

Usually with a Bosch you put the guard on with the shield outwards so it looks like it is the wrong way round. Push it down into the slots and turn it 180 degrees to the right position.

It should say in the instructions.

Hi, you should not need to touch the 4 screws, most guards have notches in them, normally locate over relevant holes for notches then rotate approx 180degrees and tighter up in preffered location were safe

As Wyn said.... put the guard on the opposite way first then turn it around on Bosch ones.

Got it on right now. It needed to be forced around with a little bit of pressure. Wasn't that keen on doing that initally in case I'd damage something.
