So last year I decided I wanted to put my own shed up for a purpose build workshop for all my welding machining stuff to save having all that around the cars.
So I set about hiring a digger and dumper for a week to clear some land, however at this point my dad had also agreed we'd clear a load of foliage and level some land just general jobs, this then miraculously turned into finding a perfect bit of land to build yet another shed for him, so mine went on the back burner as his would be quicker to do.
So in this week we managed to move around 300ton of soil and rubbish and dump locally which really helped on cost.
We manged to lay two slabs in this week for both shed so very happy.
So then came the task of me designing and getting steel ordered to build the shed. So steel ordered and plasma cut end plates and base plates, along with steel for my shed.
At this point I was tasked with a weekend to weld together my dad's shed which we achieved and the next weekend we were ready to start building which was going to be fun seeing as we only had a scaffold to lift off but it happened.
Once up our plan was to insulate the roof and use rubber style roof sheets on top but it was actually cheaper to go and see the local insulated sheet dealer and used thst and it was 100% quicker and easier.
In all this i managed to find 3 second hand insulated garage doors for an absolute bargain.
The big luxury we paid the money for thst was worth it was the feather edging but with the a rebate cut in back so no leveling up yourself along as bottom one is level you just stack them up and away you go.
Once all up and cladded we insulated inside with rockwool and plylined inside.
I'm currently working on doing electrics.
This project has now been going about 12month happening in between us both being busy. And guess what somehow my shed is still a pile of steel on the floor.
