New Esab Rebel Emp 320Ic 20% off. Worth it?

At Eng Weld they have the esab rebel emp 320lc that’s £2099+vat which to me seems very good value for money. Is it cheap for a reason (eg about to be discontinued)

Three phase machine + soon to be discontinued+ maybe is the no euro connector version (American)+ probably a machine which used to be displayed to the public + or even the infamous 230V three phase version .
Many things to ask before to buy something which looks cheaper

The rebels have a pretty bad reputation, wouldn't think its worth it at any price, from a few of the story's I have heard, they stock them in Inverness HIS and the guys there have admitted to me they do everything they can to dissuade people from buying them, there are better machines out there for your money.

I'd love a rebel, they look good, practical and apparently weld really smoothly, but when it comes down to it I'm not sure I could justify the cash from my own pocket for one. I've heard too many stories.
Having said that, 2k for a 300 amp multiprocess isn't a terrible deal on the face of it... I just don't think I could pull the trigger.

Yes even looking at stories on here, doesn’t look good.
It’s good value for money when looking at the spec, but money down the drain if I’m having problems with it
