So the garage was in a bit of a sorry state. After doing to roof and stopping the waterfall coming down the inside of the back wall it was time to tackle the rather poorly door. It was still holding on by the top hinge, just!
So at the start of today we had this
And at the end of today we have this
Apologies for the poor picture, some issue to do with the lack of daylight into the evening time now so I had to finish up under the light of a worklamp!
Isn't perfect, and still needs a coat of paint. But with a 4x2 door frame solidly fixed to the blockwork and a door also made out of 4x2 and left over tongue and grooved floor boards it's pretty solid so should keep the garage as secure as one could hope for. Got a coat of stuff on the bottom of the lower bit of door frame and bottom of the uprights then bedded them down on mastic sealant to stop water getting under.
In the fullness of time there will be a wooden storage shed extension to this side of the garage so weather won't affect the door for to long.
