My old man was buying something in "sports world" with a cheque, in the heart of Essex.

"Who do i make it out to?", he asked.

"Sports World", was the reply.

So...

"Sports Weld" was what got written on the paper.


(he has never lived outside of Essex his entire life so really should have known better)

Thanks for all the replies. Had a nice day out on Selsley Common, which had an absolute swarm of paragliders jumping off it. Weather was perfect for them and us.

Thanks! Yep, that's it. Don't know offhand if if faces NW, but has fantastic views across the Severn to the Welsh mountains.
