Need Quick help to angle grinder chose

Now something like a years that i started to buy metabo....
I realy need a big angle grinder because 5" sometimes(to often this times) it's to little to do the work whit confort.
The other day was cutting 12mm(1/2") flat profile to make new jaws for my bench vise (i know i must make photos and post in the vice tread)
It tooks me something like 30 minuts only to cut
The cutting wheel constantly jam, if use to much pressure.
So that is the situation, i have two 9" angle grinders, that are heavy and whitout safety cluch.
I would like to buy a big angle grinder whit the safety cluch.
Was looking for metabo, now the hard choice
9" ,2600W, safety cluch, soft start, overload proctetion, 6.3 kg 14lb i guess, 17Nm
Or
7",1900W,safety cluch ,soft start, overload proctetion, 2.7kg 6lb, 5Nm

The cutting deep is the same, as for the price.
The only thing is that i can't chose, i don't realy know which is better for me ,also because is an hobby for me but otherwise often i had to do welding repairs somewhere, and also use a big angle grinder all the day stress my arms.
Other problem, not realy big, is find 7" wheels, i can buy them by my metabo seller but needs time to come to home.
Here in Italy we use 4-1/2" 115mm, 5" 125mm and 9" 230mm angle grinders.
7" is not often used here.. .
So thats all, what you think about my dilem?

Cutting ok ,but when you need to work on the piece, as grinding or cut a piece in position?
Maybe need also plasma cutter ?
I think that the answer is yes.

I can't see how they can get the same cutting depth in the 7" as the 9". The only way I can think of to gain the extra 1" depth is to use a smaller gearbox, so you are effectively using a gearbox more suited to a smaller grinder. That coupled to the smaller motor would have me worried about the service life of the grinder.

As you have already pointed out, 7" discs are hard to find. They are only made by a few of the bigger manufacturers and are expensive. I looked into buying a 7" grinder & the sheer price of the consumables and difficulty sourcing them put me off. Check out the prices yourself & where you can get them. It's no good when you run out of 7" discs & you need to wait a week to get more, you can get 9" discs anywhere!

Yes the grinder have 6cm cutting deep, also the gearbox is only 60mm, but have safety cluch and overload proctetion.
The discs, i can order them from my seller, i ask to him this morning, and he tell me news about prices and time this evening.
For the moment im more taken from the 7" than 9" but, it's better wait to know what my seller have to tell me, before to buy the new grinder

I have one 6" matabo. It's great but the discs are going out of date now because I bought a big stock knowing they would be a begger to get hold of.
Substantially better size for sanding discs not actually much better than the smaller grinders with slitting discs because the disc itself isn't so thin
I think I looked at the size you mention and seems great because I fully agree sometimes a bigger grinder is just too numb n heavy and a small one too wee.

So im stil waiting the answer of my seller ,yes im thinking to 7" for the weight ,only 3kg are Nothing than 6,5 kg

Next week my seller have to talk with metabo ,he says that if ill buy the 7" grinder,he have the duty of make me in working conditions, so he ill order also the wheels.
So now i have only to wait the seller prices

MVT means that you can twist the handle so they’re ideal for cutting as well as grinding.

Unsure if you know how to breakdown the Metabo grinder codes but basically:

W: Angle grinder
E: Electronic safety
A: Smart motor that sense and reduces vibrations. Autobalancer they call it.
B: Integrated electronic brake when you let off the paddle. Stops the disc in two seconds.

22/24/26: Motor peak wattage x10. So 2600W.

230: Disc size in millimetres.

MVT: 3 position back handle

Quick: Metabo quick release spring loaded M14 nut.

RT: Reduced shank ergonomic handle.

The vibration sensing motor does work and certainly takes some vibration out. Adds about £40 though. The WE26-230MVT is £188

Yeah not just that but the trigger handle actually rotated into three positions.

Can be rotated into another position offset about 15 degrees over the right position
