Need help with info about my MIG Welder

About 17 years ago i brought a MIG 161 welder through Britool which i think was a Bitool branded product produced in Rothwell Northants by a company i believe called Oxford Welders. I tinkered with it for a couple of days back then with a view to learning how to weld. Anyway due to a divorce etc just after i had it, it remained wrapped up in its original packing box until about a month ago (i had spent 27 years in the motor trade - paperwork side and am now working for a small engineering company which has sparked up my interest again.). The instruction manual is very basic and when i say basic i mean very basic, so i was wondering if any one here has any info/recollection etc of such a welder

britool oxford mig

I bought a mig 160 branded by britool but says made by oxford on it, its in britool blue quite thin approx 12" by 30" and approx 24" high with a shelf on the back for a full size bottle,it runs on a 13 amp plug 230v and it will take full size reels, the rollers is for 0.6 and 0.8 wire and a euro connecter with a binzel torch, the controls are a wire speed and a spot timer the power settings I think go upto 6 with 6 being a different sort of migging (spraying type of welding???) the instructions said this setting is for use with the spot timer and the wire feed set to full. I remember talking to oxford about it and the chap I spoke to said it was a set made specially for doing car body work.
I just wondered if this is the same type of machine and could be of any help. It must have been around 1990 when I bought it.
