My daughter had a bump in her car today, she's alright but got some suspension damage and I need to get her mobile again so she can get herself to and from Uni, which starts again next week. There's a Ford KA right local to me with a month's MOT which is pretty sound except for one part-rotted door sill. Around the perimeter of the sill seems quite solid but there's a rust patch that's holed through half way along. The rot doesn't extend to the edges so I see no reason why it wouldn't be a straightforward job of welding.
I'm looking for someone in N Kent to quote me for welding on a new sill this week. I sold my MIG welder and I don't fancy trying it with arc. I can supply the sill as my other daughter works for a motor factors, I just need some MOT quality welding and I'll paint it myself. If anyone can help let me know please.
