Nee part lighting replacment

I have this in a an out side piller at a bunch of rental places but the tranformer/ballest has failed was looking to swap the guts out and wire in a 240v holder and bulb but what are these holders

Notice the threaded bit on the bottem of the bulb holder I'm assuming as out side has to be ceramic? To deal with the temps of being out side ?

G24d is the fitting on the bulb. If you want to use the same style (compact fluorescent) bulb, you will need a G24d bulb holder. There is nothing special about the one you show. The threads are there to accommodate a shade and its retaining ring.

As I said, it will be a challenge finding a suitable holder. You could also look for 'ceramic bulb holder'. Some come with a threaded base, but none I could see tell you what the thread is - we could assume it is 10mm (fine thread) as above, but then you need to source the threaded rod and securing nut. Others come with 'wings', which could be adapted to fit into what you have. You will have to look around and see what is suitable for your needs.

any will do led bulbs dont give heat off and its also enclosed so wont get damaged . just loose the ballast and wire it direct to the supply
