Natural gas to Propane burner

Ok guys, this project has now been turned on it's head.

There is not one gas safe guy who will do what's needed to make it run on bottled gas BECAUSE the manufacturer hasn't done any testing on this unit, therefore, will not release info on parts.

SO, I have two choices, 1. convert it to run on domestic oil, or 2. Turn it into a solid fuel central heating system!!!

If it was mine I'd be tempted to bung an adjustable reg. on the bottle, fiddle until it lit and then fine-tune using a CO analyser (Gunsons car one would probably do!) up the flue.

But then I'm as mad as a box of frogs...

Mad as a box of frogs? Well I had the same thoughts.....I mean it's not rocket science is it??!! BUT, it only needs something to go wrong, and one can plant themselves in a deep pile of dung, and with me being paranoid most of the time I'd just worry!!

Apart from which, I'd have to change the jets (Injectors) and also the gas valve - Propane needs to run on an output of 37mbar, whereas NG is only 30mbar, the valve wouldn't take it, also you need to change the Pilot jet, and the list goes on.

SO, here is the latest, I have got an old Oil Burner from a boiler (I'm quite familiar with oil and have a guy in the know re tuning!) So I am going to bolt that on. All the controls will work with it, done a full test today, and although it won't give the same output, and probably cost more to run, that is what's going to happen. After all it's just to take the chill off the garage in the winter.

I will post some pics of my "bolt on" which is very different to a strap on...before anyone asks!!
