So I get the clippers out, No1 buzz cut GI stylee.
Turn them on and almost run them across my chin, caught myself just in time just a tiny whisp of hair removed.
A close call.

That could have been a hair raising traumatic event Chunko, How long have you had the face fungus? I have had mine since i was 23 and i have now reached the grand age of 70.5 years old. Tempus Fugit.

How long have I had facial hair?
I have never owned shaving equipment.
I remember seeing my Dad coming back from some late 60's Belsen campsite bogs, string vest and all; covered in blood with bits of bog paper stuck all over the wounds, and being horrified that he had done that to himself.
When I got older I managed a few attempts with equipment I found in the bathroom and gave up.
When it came to my lad's turn I had to ask on here for advice.
Mum knew more about this technology than me.

Just a little addition to my previous post. In all my years of beard ownership i did shave it off just once to show bride number two my bare faced good looks.And then immediately started growing another, The funny thing is when i called in to see my mother and then went to visit my sister neither of them noticed the missing beard, even when asked what was different about me they still couldn't guess, crazy eh.

Many years ago I grew a beard while on a month's holiday [simple laziness], but when I looked in a mirror when I got home I realised it looked like my head was on upside down - the beard was immediately shaved off.

It happened to me, fame was going to the beards head, after winning the beard competition and raising 1200 quid for cancer research it started bragging so off it came. It didn't stop it, here's the beard at the Hollywood bowl contemplating a world tour.
