walked in to the front room and my missus has the bill on the telly, to my delight there was a citrine yellow mondeo being chased by reg Hollis and some scouse bloke

I googled it and there fetching £10k as there was only 211 given to each ford dealer in 1994. Our neighbour had one from new!!

I'm not scoffing just saying that a Mondeo is a Mondeo whatever colour it is painted. I welded and repaired sills on a couple and they are no better or worse than any other cars of the era. A friend of mine had a Mk1 diesel version that he paid £200 for and ran it to 300,000 miles and there was one in the paper which was a taxi and went to 1,000,000 miles. I found an interesting item about a Citrine Special edition done by one of the dealers on retro rides forum.

I once made a rear boot lid for a 348 and measured it from the customers original item. It was rusty but came off a low mileage original car

When it was refitted he called to say I’d made an error and it was wonky on the car. I went to see it and replaced it with the original only to find out the rear of the car wasn’t square
