Gunners Socket set.Found these over Xmas while sorting some of my late father's stuff. No maker's name but the do have an arrow stamp and are a/f sizes. And the square drive is between 1/4 and 3/8.View attachment 326490View attachment 326491
They all have ASL stamped next to the arrow mark.luckily they are square drive and not the norm hex drive.....
think britool had was the main supplier..there was one other but quite rare "Tipco".....
when I started out 50 years ago u could get ex army snap-on stuff...all black oxide finish.....
mine all got nicked.....
I still have one or two Whitworth 3/8 drive sockets marked with the WD broad arrow that I bought from an Exchange & Mart shop in 1965! I split the 5/16 one a while back, do you think it’s under guarantee stillluckily they are square drive and not the norm hex drive.....

It's between 1/4 and 3/8 drive so it could be.Look like Britool to me, but as mentioned many other suppliers made random stuff for the War effort, I believe some factories just got a drawing and made one random component.
It looks like the Britool stamped sets we have had, its not 9/32drive is it?
