Says "type 20 BN "which is according to Google a 2000 psi max co2 regulator of some kind, is it any use for shielding gas ?

To be on the safe side I would purchase a new one 2000 psi is a lot of oomph when it goes wrong !

I don't know what it fits onto, a 'pub' bottle perhaps?

Anyway, I'd be in no rush to use it even if you have a cylinder that it'll fit. They're so cheap to buy new and as said, there is a lot of force in compressed gas if it goes wrong.

That's way past it's service/inspection date
These things ain't just lumps of brass that go on forever. There is perishable rubber diaphragms in them.
I would not use it.
