What's this thing doing in my generator wiring, it is wired to the 12v terminals, ignition key switch and ground . Looks the same as a oil cut off delay switch .
It's a Bohmer 8500w, there are no wiring diagrams because the brand don't exist anymore, it was just a made up Chinese brand name for a low quality disposable machine.
My take on this cryptic photo is that we are looking at the back of the generator control panel, so this is the wiring to the sockets and switches, meters and indicators etc.
- the rectangular black component with the label is a circuit breaker...?
- the white circle indicates a tubular metallic blob with a few wires sealed into it, screwed down to the panel...?

Looks the same as an oil sensor delay switch but it's not connected to the oil level sensor , and there is already one on the oil cut off circuit in the usual place.
I would say it is some kind of MOSFET or diode etc and it has been screwed to the plate to help dissipate heat since cheaper than including a heat sink
