Having drivin this car for a couple of years one of my family asked me to have it on my drive and there it sat for 2 years with rust eating it away under the paint, my daughter brought it so we could rebuild it and last year we started to take it apart as rust had eaten away the wings and spread to parts of the floor, I cut the wings off and took the engine out on the subframe as the rear subframe needs replacing.
the picture below has the wrong date as the digital camera had just got a new battery and She just wanted to take pictures i have others and will post a few as the car is on its side with the floor cut out, now I have a welder so I can start putting things back on. will get a few more to show the work done so far or the lack of it

The Date should say 2007 not sure what day

That doesnt look half bad, I take it the grey areas have been replaced already?

I took the wings off my mini project I had years ago, and ended up having to replace half the shell

No all the grey is where I need to replace things like seals and part or all of the floor, this picture is when we started to take it to bits I will try to get some new ones up here if the rain stops for a while as I have to uncover it.
You had to replace your shell ,if you take the Floors out both sides and part of the boot floor,then whatever if left is what I have. I need to replace the Drivers side quater panel, and part of the drivers inner wing but ill get photos to show what its like
I will rebuild it and it will look good but it takes me some time as I have a serious back problem after an accidentwhich happend 13 years ago meaning I may work on it for 4 hours then not be able to do anything to it for a few days or just be very painfull when doing anything but Itll be done even if it kills me .

Here you can see the drivers floor is fitted but final cleaning up is needed before I can weld it in and a few other pictures or bits that need replacing.

Had to cut and drill this panel a bit just need to cut a little more and itll be off.

Both of the minis White one ready for MOT after some replacing of subframe mounts and some floor work, the green one is the Mess im working on in the pictures.

hi julian nice to see another mini nut on here heres a pic of my 1330 i restored 3 years ago,and good luck with yours ,i also have a leyland 850 1972 that still needs a bit of work cheers nige.

Very nice, my future son in law has just turned green with envy as He wants to turn the White one into what youve already got, nice to see another great car saved.
You ever go to any of the mini meets, like the Hop farm or others as there are loads on.
Im hoping to have a few picture to show once its done to show what work has been done.

track day

were going to castle combe tomorrow with the mini club ive got two passes for the track hope it going to be dry ill post some pics up for u mate cheers nige.

Nice Hope all goes well. once both the mini's are on the road we will join the southern mini owners club and do a few meets we did this years hop farm one in the mondeo and rover will need another car to just take the camping stuff next year.

I havent had the time to work on the mini to my shame as ive been busy playing with a few mini moto's.
I rebuilt 1 for my mate and have put a bigbore kit on it like it did mine but lately ive been busy working on a Pasini that has a 8.5hp water cooled Polini engine in it thought my other 1 was reasonable fast this 1 did win a chapionship with one of the previous owners the last owner had it sripped down in boxes for a yeat and i brought it for £100.

It looked like this till the weekend after some sanding and filling as the fibreglass fairing was a little tatty.

Now it looks like this am still working on it before putting the engine back in. As Im not sure I like the frame Black
