One of my earliest memories is of my dads workmate breaking - the cast alloy frame snapped in the middle, he fashioned a bit of wood to fit in between the web and bolted it back together and is still in use forty years on.
I don’t know how it broke as he keeps everything immaculate and doesn’t abuse tools; other than the repair, it is still in really nice condition.

Hey everyone, I came to this forum because it's the only result mentioning 723069. I've lost one of the springs that operate on the hand triggers for opening and closing the workmate. Does anyone know what part number they are/where I can get a replacement?
Is it the same spring across all dual height workmates?

In case anyone else is wondering, the answer is yes. The springs don't have the same ends as the originals but they are long enough and do fit.
