Just bought this Press Brake

It can fold 48" length, and has 15 ton capacity.
The machine had a weird fault when I first got it, which took me hours to locate.
The blade would not stop consistantly and it would sometimes ignore the limit switch
I eventually found a broken spring in the solenoid directional valve on the hydraulics.
Fitted a new spring and the machine now works perfectly
I just need to find some jobs for it to do now.......

dont mean to pry but how much did you give for it ? would love one of those in the workshop !

awesome bit of kit. A friends has a hydraulic brake press in his workshop, and I keep finding stuff for it to do! can't justify one of my own tho

I worked on something similar years ago, a Promecam I think it was called. We used to make boiler water jackets out of 6mm plate.

dont mean to pry but how much did you give for it ?

I paid £1400 for it, which is quite a good price after I spent months looking for one at the right price.
It cost me £180 to get the machine moved, it weighs 1.2 ton
The guy also threw in a box of segmented blades and another full bottom 'V' block.
One problem for home users would be the 3 phase electrics
I currently use a Flypress to fold my parts, so looking forward to using the machine

It was advertised on Ebay, but it didn't get any bids so I made the guy an offer
Lucky for me he accepted
