Hi All
First I would like to thank the guys at MIGTIGARC for a fast and efficient service. Ordered a plasma cutter, compressor, oxy acetylene cutting kit, welder and consumables. I had everything within a week and had my final delivery today. The goods arrived with no damages and as described. The welder and compressor were delivered on pallets, no hassle with unloading as both items were delivered by a courier using a tail lift.
After a week of getting the electrics and everything sorted i finally wired up the welder today and had a quick test.
The thermal arc 320c appears to be a quality made unit, good quality switches and overall a very well built machine for the money.
4 roll drive motor as standard...and not a cheap plastic type unit as seen on other machines, you may not see from the pics, there are 2 very large fans on the back of the machine and when the machine is running are hardly audible. I HATE NOISY MACHINES.
If i was to say one negative would be the top of the machine, I was slightly disappointed with the finish. If you look at the top pic you will see screw heads protruding from the top and to me looks unprofessional, other machines i have seen eg the lorch welders have a rubber mat protecting the paint....i am guilty using the top of the welder for pliers etc. I bought a £1 car mat from tesco and fits perfect.
First impressions are good so far, out of the 12 voltage steps i started on 4 and the result can be seen below. I tried out number 6 and i nearly blew through the angle Numer 6 and 7 is approaching spray.
So far very impressed, i will do some more testing next week and post the results.
