Following on from the 'Which motorbike thread' i thought i might share my new project....
I was given this bike 3 years ago as an ongoing project and only decided last week to drag it out and do something on it...
It is a 82/83 Honda Sohc4 650 Nighthawk

Me and my youngest (14) had a play around after i got a new battery and it turns over fine, even managed to get it to pop a bit with a squirt of fuel down the cylinders..
We have then stripped it down to a rolling frame ready for some paint and we found a good long list of stuff i gotta buy for it
. Its going to be a long old job cos i haven't got a lot of money for parts but we gonna keep tinkering with it doing bits as and when i can afford the parts.
The list so far...
1, New coil packs
2, Carb boots
3, Choke cable
4, Clutch cable
5, Throttle push cable
6, Plug spanner
7, New exhausts
8, New rear shocks
9, Exhaust clamps and flanges +gaskets?
10, Front mudguard
11, Gear shifter and rubber
12, New grips
13, Petrol tank repaired
14, New plugs
I will save as much as i can of the original but i will need to drop some OEM stuff on it to get it right.
The best news of the weekend though.....
SWMBO found both side panels!!!!, they are gonna need some repairs cos of a couple of missing clips and respraying, but there are no cracks or bits chipped off them!!!!
