I bought a Drummond model B lathe in a sorry state for £60 but I am slowly getting it all up and running do I can use it again as it should be. I have added some before and after pictures so far. The main issue I seem to have is finding parts. I wish I had of bought a myford as parts are a lot easier to find but cost more in the beginning. I can’t find a set of gears for this anywhere so I will have to improvise as the automatic cutting speed is to fast so need to design something to slow it down or use a seperate motor to control the speed so when it’s cutting it moves slower. I enjoy buying the older machines than the newer as the best part is learning how they work by stripping and rebuilding them.

] in the cave. I have no idea what machine they came off, but iirc they arrived soon after my first lathe [an old R & A] and didn't fit the spindle size, so who knows.......?

I have no idea what machine they came off, possibly one of the Chinese bench top ones
. If they're no use for yours I'll just hang on to them in case I go all Heath Robinson on another future project.
