im new at welding, i ve just finished a one month course of arc / mig welding, so i continue to practice at home, trying to get better to find a job.

Some pictures of todays home training vertical 7018 3.25 rod at 120 amps.

Nice. Quick learner if you can do vertical up to that standard in one month. You must have been practising hard at home between lessons.

Not sure how thick the steel is 5 / 6mm? seems a slight excess of weld there. Particularly on the right hand side, but yeah, just been fussy.

vlima - very nice welds for a starter. I see you're having a bit of trouble with your stop starts on the vertical up on another thread. Can't give you any advice other than keep practicing. Got a pic of the penetration? Also, what rods, what current? Doing very well though.

the metal is 6 mm, and you are right, its a little excess because underneath i did a 3 pass t joint.
