my first welding projects...

As promise din previous post I am posting some pictures of my first projects. There is a mini welding table, a torch holder and tool rests for my bench grinder. I know that my technique is rubbish but at least I have started and hopefully will improve with time. What i have built is functional anyway.
Some of these are mig and some are arc welded. ARC is definitively more challenging for me.

like me im learning mate im liking doing arc welding as I ran out of gas so I thought to try arc at 1st, I was getting the rod stuck but I've learned a bit and I can run a bead I just practice practice and practice there are some great people on here that will give you advice and there the tutorial you can watch as well mate

Keep at it, you'll get there. Looking at the first photo in your second post, it looks like you've got the speed of travel about right so try experimenting with varying the current. As an example, I was fillet-welding some 1/2" square bar onto various pieces of 1/8", 1/4" and 3/8" flat, using 12 gauge (2.5 mm?) rods. I set the welder, an oil-cooled Oxford to 95 amps - running hotter than normal worked a treat.
