The only thing that prevents those hand porta band saws cutting accurate is the mans arm holding it.
The same applies a to plasma, OA and even welding. I've seen them used to very good standards even if you've not had much luck yourself.
They are a portable saw and not going to be as easy to perform as a mounted type but that's not to say they can't or are unsuitable in capable hands.
