Its a fuddy duddy one, but has electronic load control and i use it quite a bit.
Anyway it died yesterday.
The 26vac power supply is fine.
On further investigation, the induction brake works fine, in fact even though the control is dead, switching the power on allows 41volts DC open circuit to the brake , reducing to 24 volts closed circuit, which feels like maximum effort. There is 1.9amps current, which is constant.
My thinking then, is, junk all the OE screen, and buy a variable voltage power supply to hook straight up to the brake, so i can set, say, 16 volts, as my effort level.
A 0-30v 5amp power supply should fit the bill. This one is a good price:

Have i forgotten anything? Will this work? I'm not an electrical technician
