@thinfourth asked for a picture of my mill(used to be his) with the extension fitted

@Pete. kindle made a new trapezoid 3mm x 24mm thread that was 16cm longer than the original, I also built a suds tank, using the unused 3 phase suds pump on my boxford lathe, converting it to single phase, just needs the hose and the tap/end fitting

Don't tell @thinfourth , but I stripped the machine and replaced a few bearings, but I cocked up, I replaced the top bearing on the motor, but the motor was still noisy, so I stripped the bottom bearing out, leaving the shaft still in the housing, the bearing turned out to need greasing, whilst doing this the shaft dropped out of the housing, breaking the auto shutoff for the start capacitor,

so I stripped it out and you now have to press a button to get the motor to run doh,

I am considering converting it to 3 phase with a inverter, changing speeds is a pain,

I did paint it with a tin that I had lying around, which I don't like, so will be re doing at some stage

the extension turned out to be 170mm long, I don't think you can realistically go any higher
