Isn't that grey bit on the wall a support arm for an horizontal milling machine?

@Memmeddu was asking what the horizontal arm on the wall was for.
Might sound weird but machines that small are kinda inexistent over here, you might find lathes like unimats and similar but small shapers, milling machine or even tools and cutters grinders are soon to zero here in Italy.@Memmeddu was asking what the horizontal arm on the wall was for.
They are popular with model engineers, though small, they are well made, even my benchtop one weighs over 360 Kg, I like using it for small jobs, I have a larger mill too.Might sound weird but machines that small are kinda inexistent over here, you might find lathes like unimats and similar but small shapers, milling machine or even tools and cutters grinders are soon to zero here in Italy.
It's weird but seeing those little ones is kinda funny for me, I'm a machinist and I'm used to machinery that weights at least 1 ton.
I've been very lucky to find my lathe Wich can be man lifted and moved around but my cold saw even if small already requires a crane to move it
Its in my first post of the Clarke drill.I can't see a horizontal arm in that picture.
