My BMW E30 318is project

Hi peeps its been a while

We summer is here and the project is under way

I picked this up almost 2 years ago and just had fun with it but now its time to get it looking like new again

First step was to replace the bumpers

Sorry no pic of the rear one

Then side skirts

then a set of HID's

And this is about where I am now so time to sort the body work out thank god there is not 1 bit of rust on the whole car.

Now you guys the questions will start

looks better in the first pic in my opinion the new bumper front on reminds me of a bulldozer

but each to his own

doesnt look to bad. not sure about the is lip below the mtech2 front valance though.

I was thinking the same.
Great car but the bumper looks like it belongs on a different car, it's just too imposing and imho spoils the front end but as Snooper says, each to his own.

I was once the proud owner of an E30 320 touring....until the wife decided it was a little too long and needed shortening.
Loved that car, they still grab my attention now, there's just that something about them.

I don't like cars with blue headlights, everyone thinks the police are following them and slow down. HID lights don't work unless the lenses are plain glass do they? DFT site has some info on their use. I saw one fail MOT when I was there last year because his lights were too diffused by the lens according to the beam tester. I like the rest of it especially the alleycat wheels.

the light conversion is as simple as a few plugs and mounting parts to your car with self tappers

Easy job mate to do the HID kit and defo better at night and no you dont need clear lenses in regards to the MOT you have to have your light set up after other wise yer it will fail
