This was my first build of the fireblade, and it was originally built as a no compromise racer on the street. Unfortunately it was no where near as much fun on the street as it was on the track and was in certain circumstances a proper handful on the street and bordering on the daft with the speeds required to make things "interesting".

Iv had a 92, 99, 01 and an 04 blade in the past. One of the most comfortable superbikes iv ever owned(99 CBR900RR-X being my favourite one) you can sit comfortably at 70 or 150mph and drop it down a few gears on the twistys and keep up with 600's or spin the wheel without even trying if your stupid enough

That swingarm is really nice on the bike i had to read through the posts to find out what it was. Keep an eye out for cracks on it as theyv been known to crack in the past!

Yeah, its RSV Mille and i check it everytime i clean it.

Once this project is complete ill be riding it whilst i begin my next project which may include a blade frame & running gear + BBird motor or something a bit smaller like a TZ350 with 500cc big bore kit in a more modern swanky looking frame. Not decided yet tho.

I have got to decide what colour i want my wheels on the fighterblade first.
Tank, tail, bellypan & front fairing are all going Candy red over black for a DEEEEEEP red.
Frame, forks, yokes, bars, swingarm & subframe are all going metallic black and all bolt on bits are being mirror polished.
Brakes are gold but the wheels.................i cannot decide on.
I keep going back to candy red on the wheels as it would keep the theme going but i have naughty thoughts about a contrasting colour...just cant make up my mind

That it is mate! and its awesome, goes down to 2 amps and up to 500+

Im not a huge fan of wheels with polished lips as they take WAAAAY too much looking after to keep nice.

painted silver lip or all black rim? its the smallest details that make top bikes(and cars for that matter)

I do want more than one colour on the wheels and i think maybe the metallic black (same as frame & swinger) for the centre & spokes with candy red sprayed around the lip (similar to rim tape).

We have a little more progress with the bike now, you can see it on the link I originally posted. Opinions about the new bits woul be appreciated ;-)
