Looks a bit better now it’s been stripped, cleaned and repainted, setting it up on a bit of kitchen work top so I can move it if need be , will keep this and sell my unfinished 17/70 but keep all the collets and accessories as they fit the P type.
New oil cups turned up today so I was able to check runout and I am pleased that it was less than half 0.001mm that’s what my finger gauge measures changed fusible belt to a proper V belt , also had to make a new knob for the drawbar because the original was broken.
Well that’s pi—ed me off spent ages making a new knob for the P type and then I find the first 6mm ish of the thread is stripped, that will teach me to check everything so ended up purchasing a new replacement from RDG tools ( ordered one and two arrived bonus ) way to long so had to cut it down drill and re tap to M10 X 1 .
