ive had my murex 260-1 from new, now 5 years, and its been a great welder. maybe slightly under sized for what i sometimes have it pushed to, but great none the less.
recently the voltage switch broke, so it was replaced, and serviced, and its been fine. i also blew out the torch liner, fitted a new contact tip, and shroud.
ive noticed that it now seems to have wire feed issues on the start of the weld. hard to descibe, but its kinda a "putt, putt, putt...."then the arc starts smooth. it produces spatter and just not smooth at starting like it used to be. it acts like the wire speed is too high, but its not, and if i turn it down then its not so good when the arc does start!
any thoughts? cheers,
