hi, I'm hoping that someone out there can help me.iv searched hard but can't find this exact question on here, have found lots of other very useful info though.
Iv just got hold of a murex 165 tradesmig, all seems to be working ok voltage wise but i suspect there may be an issue with wire feed. The speed adjusts from zero to full ok as you turn the knob but it seems to be to fast all the time except when on settings below about 3. Even when welding on max voltage setting (0.8 wire) on 5mm plate its only set around 3 on the dial. On lowest voltage for your thin stuff its set to about 2 on the dial, meaning my entire feed range is done by a tiny amount of movement, making it hard to get setting correct especially with gloves on!.
is this normal?
also can anyone tell me exactly what the two dials adjust in the board inside. Even with them both turned fully clockwise (seems to give slowest wire feed) its still to fast, they both seem to do the same thing is this correct?
pics show max and min voltage settings on wire feed 2 and 3
many thanks for any help or advice.
