Multifuel workshop heaters.

Getting towards that time of year again.

I'm thinking of getting a multifuel workshop heater, and the Deville Ex-Military ones seem to tick the box. I know some of you on here have them, so my questions are, how do you rate them? And, can they be run on a mix of old/stale petrol and old engine oil? I seem to end up with a fair bit of both and disposing of it properly is a pain so 'two birds'.

Technically speaking I'm not supposed to have a fuel burning heater (council property) but it doesn't seem to stop others and nothing's been said.

what is your fuel that you get the most or is free would determine what style of heater id be using

for me its wood

as goes for mixing petrol and old engine oil its a big no no to be burnt

Pity as it's what I have most of, the rest of the time I'd be running it on diesel. Those Deville heaters are supposed to burn quite clean but that's what I read rather than hearing from someone who actually uses one.

most garages have swapped to diesel or red diesel heater its not worth the fine

but there not that clean burn certainly not with old oil, fine if you want to send it through waste oil biodiesel

but most garages dont want to pay for it being done or even homemade ones they just want to burn it as is so its there own fault in end
