Reminds me of colleagues custom suspension links that failed catastrophically, the company that built them were very keen to pay him some cash and "disappear" the parts back quickly. We once attended an Escort RS rally car that had side swiped a tree stump, the side intrusion was that bad the co-driver had a broken leg, we saw the car later wrapped in "do not touch" tape as it was to be recovered for technical examination as the company that built the cage were under investigation by the MSA.
I think it was also to do with something along the lines of the MSA said the Ultra4 guys had to comply with the bluebook rules for roll cages. The Ultra4 guys went away and proved that in no way shape or form would an MSA compliant roll cage survive King of the Hammers and thus more Fallings out happened.I've re-read the Ultra4 rules as well. They are a lot more lax as they're based on US rules. IIRC Ultra4 and MSA fell out, the MSA tried to claim that they have legal governance over the UK, turned out they don't.
