This is my first post on here so Hi all!
I have a clarke 165e machine and the wire on the reel often jumps u over the spool when moving the plant around. I solved this by putting some cable ties through the small holes on the outside of the reel once I had finished welding...smart huh.........well no not really because one morning I dragged her out and started welding WITHOUT TAKING THE TIES OFF
. now the wire will feed but the motor does not seem to have the ommpf to turn the wire feed wheel with enough torque to pull it cleanly. My guess is Ive burnt part of the motor out so I ordered a new one from machine mart and one twice the size turned up. They swear blind it's the right one but I cant see it fitting . 
Any Ideas on corrct spares or other potential causes? Or even old parts available or a local welder repair boff in Herts.
