Motor bike petrol cap

the cap on my project bike is old and not in keeping with the rest of the bike

Are they a universal fit?

I’m after a different style as it’s a bit bland being black plastic

Being an import it’s mega expensive for a cap

The answer is maybe, maybe not,

It looks a fairly common old bike type, but without trying or measuring it’s purely a guessing game.

I didn’t have anything to measure it as I keep it at my parents but will bring a tape and callipers tomorrow

I’d like to either be able to paint it or have something a bit nice that a big block of off black plastic

A rare bike with 8 kilometres from new it’s a 1998 but Iv built it into a brat style custom

Maybe try other yams from the same era, I’d guess they may have used stuff like this on more than one bike

The twin tab fuel cap reminds me alot of the generic larger metal tank generators.

I'm sure someone will have one of those to compare it too.

Next time I am over my mum's will have a look.... Still have a few 80's yam bits there... fairly certain there are some fuel caps, as I used to replace with locking one's after someone urinated in mine

Good memories of touring a Greek islands on one of those.
Up the zigaurated gravel paths into the mountains sticks in my mind.
