Would this motor run successfully from single phase - VFD - motor please?

Thanks @Brad93 I wasn't sure as I thought if running delta it should have had a little triangle on the plate.

Next q? Would an end flange mounted motor be ok with a pulley on it and side pull from a vee belt or are the bearings only suitable for direct drive? I don't really imagine motors having different bearings but I dunno.

Yes. Same bearings. If the customer wants flange mount, they bolt a bit on the end of the body. If the customer wants foot mount, they bolt a bit on underneath it.

Probably has six terminals in the connection box, star will have three on one side linked, phases down the other side: to swap to delta (for 240v) move the links to strap across the terminals like an E (but without the upright), leave phases where they are (if it runs backwards, swap two phases). Easy peasy.

No, don't have the motor yet, hope to pick it up this week. I understand what you say, if it arrived to someone wired delta and they wanted it to run on 415v.
