inner track rod joint is not listed as a rfr..if it was really bad it would show up as excessive play at the steering wheel which would then fail...That's slightly different. In the case of the ball joint the tester knew it was faulty because he could see/hear problems and noted excessive wear.

On my Silver Shadow there is an enormous amount of play at the steering wheel with the engine off, but none detectible when it's running.
