Most disappointing tool purchase....

Hydraulic hose crimper and a load of hose and ends, bought from my uncle's estate, for a considerable amount of money.
6 months later and a single hose made up, and realising I was never going to bother getting the proper certification to make hoses for customers, I sold the whole lot again. Thankfully, for exactly what I paid for it.

My laminate guillotine, bought it having been told it would cut cedral cladding. Labourer told me in his best language. " Fing load if sh wasted your fing money" so he continued to use my chopsaw and the £120 blade. Well i tried.


Sorting the garage i find the offending item, i was at the time cladding my extension thought why not now that labourer is long gone. What would you know it's brilliant and dust free.

That is one of 4 reasons i nominate my old labourer

You are using them wrong, realistically they are not intended for that situation, they are for when the head of a fastener is damaged or the head has sheared in the more traditional sense.

Think about it, if the fastener is so corroded Into place that the corrosion has more strength than the fastener what chance is a peice of brittle hardened steel going to have?

Easy outs are a classic example of getting a bad rap because people use them for the wrong application, I have successfully easy outed hundreds, if not thousands of fasteners, I wouldn't be without them.
