hi all
Yes I'm on this topic again, having failed to find a lister petter within a reasonable distance from where I live, I am resorting back to the idea of getting a small welder generator.
So far I have seen good comments about of a few all of which come at reasonable prices. They are the Harrington spitfire 200 DC, the pramac Honda w200, the Smc weldpac 220 and the MHM mighty midget 2/175.
Apart from the mighty midget I have not been able to find detailed specifications of any of the other above welders on the manufacture websites or even after emailing them. So dose any one know the open circuit voltage produced by the Harrington, parmac and Smc. Also dose anyone know if the Harrington and Smc have variable current output and if so what is the lowest amperage they produce, I can't find this detail any where.
I am assuming this low in the price range there is no infinitely variable control and they have a stepped system in stead if so what are the steps most likely to be?
And looking at the Smc it has a 400v plug which I am scratching my head at what it could be used for given theses generators usually only produce 2-3kw.
Thanks for the replies!
