Mole repairs

So, moling in new water pipes today. My friend has one good mole and two with faults.

Are there any good resources for servicing and parts for these? We think it might be made by Grundomat amd these are 44mm diameter

The problems obvious on this one. How does it come apart and what's missing that has meant the tail had detached from the piston?

The three sets of indents are likely for a peg spanner to unscrew parts of it.

I think so.

But that bit that's at the end and not attached shouldn't pull out. Looking online it appears there's an exhaust ring in there (or should be) that should retain that shaft inside the end section. I think.

Yes definitely a 45mm Grundomat, seal kits/spares are available, they normally work off serial numbers which on older machines can wear off.To dismantle you need the c/peg spanners and a lot of heat. The sealing goo needs to be at virually melting point. Got the spanners here if you need to borrow them, an ordinary c spanner wont do it.

This is the tool. It’s about 19mm thick material and needs to be.
Only tools needed are a punch to remove the pins in the head, a decent chain vice, peg spanner and heat.
The problem with that particular model is they don’t have the duct pulling attachment on the back, when you reverse them stones and mud are forced into the back of the machine, that’s where the damage is done. With the duct on the back it keeps the hole open and protects the back of the machine when in reverse.
