I've got to a gearbox tunnel on a Land Rover Defender that needs to be fitted with a cover. Typically this would have a molded rubber cover which fit over it but the vehicle has been modified and the tunnel is no longer standard so none of the available rubber covers are suitable. The tunnel itself is molded fibreglass and I was thinking of applying a sound deadening carpet to it to finish it off. There's a few curves on the tunnel so I'm not expecting to be able to do the job without some cuts and joins. Anyone got any experience of this type of materials / recommendations. I don't want just the stick on sound deadening pads as the tunnel already has this on the underside. Really looking for something that will look like a finished product when done.
