Modern(ish) modified car terms.

I'm going to target my car upholstery work at modern(ish) modified cars, the kind that turn up at these coffee and car meets such as bmw, audi,etc big wheels, big exhaust, wrapped paint work. However I don't know how these cars are termed, anything I normally call them would probably be derogatory and not drum up business. I know the terms for older stuff, ie, hot rods, lead sled, kustom, rat rods etc but what are these newer ones called?

Lots seem to be bags of poo under the skin.

I think "Auto Salon" is a thing. Heard Mighty Car Mods use the phrase a few times. Presentation over performance, or something like that.

Hot Rod would probably be safest, although if you're about the perpreators ...I mean Owners for any length of time you'll soon pick up the lingo. Customised, innit.

Quality at sensible money will get you work, regardless of the lingo! Social media is the way to up exposure, espescially if you can tap into their groups. Pictures sell!

I need to know the terminology before I can tag in the groups.Probably go to a coffee and cars meet and hand out some cards. I can do the work but won't use photos from where I work at the moment so I don't step on toes.

Fia recently added a race car category which is called TOP TUNING which are practically street cars modified, obviously respecting "j" article to race .

Why no one mentioned fiat 595 or 695 or golf and other common cars heavily modified .
Here every Friday there are car meetings of those cars

Just "modified cars" or "modified and custom" would be descriptive enough I would have thought.

I would say 'Modified and Tuner" cars is your best bet.

There's also "Slammed" where they basically ruin the handling with horrific camber and no ride height.

OEM+ is where they make it better without crashing into Halfords..
